Went there with a local Tijuca tour guide. We’ve seen 5 monkeys in total hanging around! The view is amazing, and on good days you even get to see the christ the redeemer!

Very low key, very beautiful, people mostly aren't around so you can have most of the plane to yourself and it has the most stunning view of Rio. There were security officers around when we went so there is a sense of safety as well

We hiked from the PARQUE NATURAL MUNICIPAL DA CIDADE entrance to Vista Chinesa, which took about an hour or so. Most of the trail is moderate, except for the last couple hundred meters that get pretty steep. The trail markings show up he…
