Occasionally a freight train passes by. Several concrete platforms allow visitors to look out over the grounds. The railway tracks themselves no longer exist.

This is a great place for a walk, and you can walk all the way to Ripshorst House and the Rhine-Herne Canal. It's very nicely laid out, also suitable for dogs 🐕. We walked here from the Hexbach Valley.
