Some of the gardens are overgrown, yet still beautiful flowers. There is one walking road but it goes around the greenery, so it's not quite like a nature walk, but the bamboo forest is still very cool to see.

本日も酷暑の中、熱中症など何するものぞと川崎市市街地方面に銀輪偵察を敢行。当初は矢上川沿いに南下し蟹ヶ谷古墳へ。小高い丘の神庭と呼ばれる里山に二基の円墳と一基の前方後円墳がありました。周辺の住宅地の下に縦穴式住居の集落跡があるそうです。神庭と呼ばれるだけあって、古代の神聖で重要な場所だったのでしょう。古代には江戸湾が近くまで迫り海の幸が捕りやすく、水路交通を管制できる高地としても重要だったことでしょう。歴木の木がや竹林があり、カブトムシがたくさん採れます。私も一匹捕まえ…
