Privacy Policy

TopSpotsReviews is a free ranking site. You do not need an account, and we do not ask you for personal information. This page explains the little data that is involved anyway.
What we do not collect
There is no sign-up, no login and no newsletter. We do not ask for your name, e-mail or phone number, and we never sell data to anyone.
What is stored in your browser
Two small preferences, kept on your device so the site behaves the way you left it: your chosen language and your light or dark theme. They are not tied to an identity and you can clear them at any time through your browser settings.
Location
The "best places near you" section estimates your country from your IP address on our server, which is a normal part of any web request. It is used only to pick which country's places to show and is not stored. If you press the "near me" button, your browser asks for your explicit permission first, and the coordinates are used once to find your city — never saved.
Services we rely on
Ratings, review counts, photos and maps come from Google Maps and the Google Places API, so Google's own terms and privacy policy apply to that content. The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps standard server logs, and results are cached in Google Firestore so the same city does not have to be fetched repeatedly.
Advertising
The site may display advertising, including Google AdSense. When it does, ad providers may use cookies to measure and select ads. In regions where consent is required, you will be asked before any non-essential cookie is set, and you can change your choice later.
Your rights and how to reach us
Depending on where you live — for example under the GDPR in Europe or the LGPD in Brazil — you may have the right to ask what data relates to you, and to ask for its deletion. Because we hold no accounts, in practice there is rarely anything to return, but write to contact@topspotsreviews.com and we will answer.
